New England Regional Research Fellowships
The New England Regional Fellowship Consortium, a
collaboration of at least
eleven major cultural agencies, will offer a minimum of
five awards in
2001-2002. Each grant will provide a stipend of
$5,000 for eight weeks of
research at participating institutions.
Applications are welcome from
anyone with a serious need to use the collections and
facilities of the
organizations. For the next fellowship cycle, the
postmark deadline will be
February 1, 2001.
The Consortium's grants are designed to encourage
projects that draw on the
resources of several agencies. Each award will be
for research at a minimum
of three different institutions. Fellows must stay
at each of these
organizations for at least two weeks.

Connecticut Historical
Society, John Nicholas Brown Center for the Study of
American Civilization,
Maine Historical Society, Massachusetts Historical
Society, Mystic Seaport
Museum, New England Historic Genealogical Society, New
Hampshire Historical
Society, Rhode Island Historical Society, Vermont
Historical Society, and
Historic Deerfield.
